Dear friends,

our poet Rabindranath Tagore came (1921) to Germany in response to the cordial invitation of the land lord of Darmstadt, Germany. It proves that the Germans and Bengalees had a mutual understanding and exchange of their philosophy, education, culture and literator from long ago. Tagore spend his leisure time observing nature in different parks and gardens in Darmstadt. One of such memorable garden is the palace of the landlord of Darmstadt. Now we, the immigrant Bangalees, are going to celebrate a day of cultural activities in that garden to observe Tagore's birth anniversary. The Municipal Authority has given us written permission.

Poem recitation, presenting Tagore's songs, dance and discussion on Tagore's literary works will be included in this cultural program.
